Best bbq we could've hoped for! My family and I were looking for somewhere to eat dinner while passing through town and reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Really glad we did! The owner and staff were so accommodating even though it was getting close to closing time. The ribs, brisket and bbq sauces had the best flavor and the sides were really good too. Everything was on point, wish we had one where we live!

DUB's was DOPE!!! We has a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato tots.. Yes.. TOTS! The bread on the sandwich was FRESH super soft and delicious, the pulled pork itself was extremely flavorful and moist! And as good as I tried to make that sandwich sound, the wings ARE EVEN BETTER!! 8 wings with DUB sauce(sweet and tangy, think wingers sauce but better) and the DUB Cajun fries.. O.M.G. Stop reading and go to DUBs... Seriously, stop reading..

Great baby back ribs! Try the mustard and spicy sauces, they are delish. Stopped by on our way back home to California from Zion and will be back again when in the neighborhood.

Super nice people & served really fast. The food was SUPERB! That is saying a lot because I am not a fan of bbq to much. This is what our family ordered. Hubby ordered carnivore sandwich with spare rib and brisket and loved it. I got the brisket sandwich and it was sooo good! Went with the original sauce and it was great flavor. Tried the sweet potato tots and loved them. Really liked the baked beans and chunks of meat in them. The potato salad was on point. Loved the sweet relish in it. Girls- Mac and cheese, chicken balls and really liked it. Overall... For sure go back. Awesome bbq! We waited for them to bake some more peach cobbler and the peaches were really good and hot with yummy melty ice cream on top! Great place!

This is a review from someone who lived in Houston Texas for years and had some amazing BBQ. Having said that, this place is a very solid 4 stars from me, my husband and my brother. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it was 5 stars. My husband and brother got brisket and ribs. Ribs were 4 stars brisket was 4 stars and would have been 5 if it hadn't been a tad dry. Sides were all yummy. Probably the best BBQ in Utah that we have tried so far. It's a solid 4 stars up against our favorite CorkScrew BBQ in Spring Texas. Holla!

Good solid BBQ, not the best I've ever had but probably some of the best you will find in St.George. I enjoy the baby back ribs and the occasional pulled pork sandwich. I have one daughter who won't eat BBQ because of the sauce. She will eat Dubs ribs because you put the sauce on yourself the way God intended.

It is always good. Nice to sit and talk with the family while you wait. Sometimes it is a little longer wait but knowing the food will be amazing is worth it! Love the family that runs and owns it.

Actually went here after reading some reviews on Yelp. This food was the best I've had since old Famous Daves was in town. My wife got the catfish and shrimp, I got the ribs and fries. I highly recommend either, as well as the Mac n Cheese. Those fries were some of the best I've had in a while. I would not, however, recommend the sweet potato tater tots. The service wasn't great, as some have mentioned, but I go for the food. I wasn't disappointed! Definitely recommend.

No frills, a strip mall BBQ joint, but great southern style Q and sides. Customer service wasn't great, but the food and prices made up for it. A different space and a few more helping hands would make a world of difference.

Such a delicious stop after a long day of hiking. We were craving barbecue and after researching the area this is where we ended up, We arrived about a half hour prior to closing and they were so welcoming . Food is prepared well. Everything was perfect . The spicy sauce was just right. Customer service was also friendly.

Too full to try the wings or brisket. The full slab came with 4 sides, which would have easily fed 4. There were only 3 of us, so we are having ribs again tomorrow. Very good food!

Food: - For The Smaller Appetite: Don't let the name fool you, this was quite filling. I didn't finish everything. It came with 3 ribs and 2 sides. I ordered the potato salad and paid an extra dollar for the sweet potato tater tots. -- Ribs: were okay. It was tender enough but not fall-off-the-bone tender like I prefer. It tasted better with spicy BBQ sauce. The sauce was good but nothing out of the ordinary. And it was by no means spicy. 3/5 -- Potato salad: was okay as well. I've had better. I ate half of it. 3/5 -- Sweet Potato Tater tots: I was a little disappointed in the tater tots. Not because it wasn't good but because it was hyped up so much I was expecting it to be amazing. I wanted to dip it in something but nothing complimented it well. I tried ketchup, ranch, and BBQ sauce. I ended up eating it dry. 4/5 -Service: Friendly. The cashier told us it would take about 10 minutes for us to get our food because of the wings (my husband ordered). We waited almost 20 minutes. Luckily we weren't in a rush. 3/5 Final thoughts: Everything was okay. Nothing wowed me. But it wasn't terrible.

I am a Meat-atarian, eat meat most of the time due to several food allergies. There ribs are off the hook! Cajun Fries uh give me 2 orders. Simply delightful and all sauces and meats are Gluten Free. I live in Salt Lake but would fly down here just to eat here again!

The girl at the register (Kalei) is a terrible person who doesn't want to be burdened by the job of working with customers. Part of our order was also forgotten and after being told they would bring it out, she never did. Find somewhere else to eat.

I've been eating at DUB's for a few years now. I was there again last night. I've had ribs from all over the country and always thought Tony Roma was about as good as it got. I've also had some great ribs as appetizers in San Francisco that were very good. I've lived in Dallas and have had wonderful BBQ in several places there. To my mind DUB's is far and away THE best BBQ I've ever eaten. The baby backs are full of meat, the BBQ TIPS are sensational and the atmosphere is "friendly". On Friday nights they have live music, last night there was a sensational blues band. Family owned and wonderful people. Last night was as busy as I've ever seen it and I say good....this is one business establishment I would hate to see leave. Not often can I say this resturant is better than anything in Las Vegas. DUB's is The Best. Rarely do I issue a 5 Star but it's easy to do so at DUB's. I would do 6 if it were available.

We have been waiting for our food for an HOUR! Then the lady at the register acted like we killed her first born when we said we had to change our order to go. I enjoy their food. This is a huge turn off.

Wow! I hadn't had good BBQ since I lived in Texas, until today when we stopped by DUB's. Hubby had the 3 meat meal with spicy sausage, pulled pork, and brisket. I had 1/2 rack of ribs. Wonderful! Full of flavor, large servings, and great sides. French fries were hot and delicious, cole slaw was fresh, and the sweet and hot sauces were fantastic! We visited with one of the owners who was delightful and welcoming. We plan on returning for thanksgiving and will have them smoke a turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner. Two thumbs up!

I love there sides! Incredible mashed Patatoes & macaroni.. We also tried there hush puppies.. Pretty good... My bf got the rack of ribs and loved them! I ordered the 7 wives salad and thought it was fantastic! Service is excellent!! Beautiful little restaurant! (=

I love a good barbecue place for one reason and one reason only, the food. And this place I definitely love!!!! I ordered the large spare ribs with two sides and man there was nothing spare about them ribs!!!! Amazing flavor, done just right! Tons of meat on a small bone!!! If I didn't live 7 hours away, I would be there every day. The owner is one cool cat and is a nice guy! Utah people if you haven't tried this place you are definitely missing out. I rarely spend my time doing these reviews but in this case my taste buds forced me to! These ribs Break Da Mouth!!

Good BBQ and friendly staff but it takes a long time from ordering until your food is delivered. Be prepared to wait but don't avoid it because of the wait.

This is my very first 5 star review. I ordered the four meat combo, the catfish was on par with anything I've ever had in the Deep South. The ribs were truly outstanding genuine southern style ribs. I have been searching far and wide for someone that understands how to properly prepare a rib. These are not falling off the bone ribs. So for those of you who are uneducated about proper barbecue you can go to Chillies, and get flavorless Mushy no textured ribs. Sampled both the spicy and mustard barbecue sauces perfect execution again. Collard greens awesome flavor no bitterness. Potato salad homemade and delicious. Brisket was very flavorful and sausage link good texture and flavor. Sweet and spicy barbecue sauce just right. The only problem is I live in Las Vegas and I haven't found any barbecue this good there, and in Vegas the same quantity of food would have cost me $60.

Damn!! Loved the brisket and links!! We drank a beer while we waited for Togo food. Seemed like a cool atmosphere. Clean for a bbq joint.

Anyone giving this place a bad review based on service or atmosphere is an idiot. The food is what matters here & it's excellent. I've eaten some of the best BBQ in the world in KC out of a gas station, and this place may not be that good, but it's damn close. Best anywhere near here that's for sure.

  • Riley P.

Talk about a great place to eat. The food here really is the "bang for your buck" kind of restaurant. Not too glamorous but just classy enough to have all my respect. I got a brisket sandwich, my wife a sausage hot link sandwich and our friends got a pork sandwich and a full rack of baby back ribs. No complaints all around. This food was great! Good sauce and great sides! Make sure to try out the side of unique sweet potato tater tots for only 1$ more on your order! I give five stars because the service was great, just personal enough to after to you, but not too close (no waiters). But they do being the food to ya! I'll be coming back my next trip through!

Love this place. I work just a few doors down and love being able to walk outside and smell amazing food. Love their pulled pork as well as being able to actually get real tri-tip Cooke just the way its supposed to be.

Keeping in mind that BBQ in Utah is nothing like BBQ in Texas, this place is a five star as far as Utah BBQ is concerned. We had a large group, and here was the consensus. Rib tips and ribs are pretty good. Brisket and pulled pork were awesome. Sides were good and pretty authentic. Overall, this is an excellent BBQ place with a attention to detail on the quality and authenticity of the food. We'll definitely be returning. Nothing close to it in St. George as far as BBQ is concerned.

  • Tyler F.

Rib tips are the best. Fries have that zesty tang to them. Definitely the best BBQ in St George.

  • Seth K.

I was sceptic to try this place for some reason. Hard to find good authentic BBQ in St George. I'm so happy we stopped here! Absoutely fantastic! Large portions, good price, and tastes like you just pulled it off the smoker. Everything all 4 of us ordered was heavenly! The people were friendly, all family people working, and we were checked on many times and thanked repeatedly for stopping in. It's hard to find a place like this and they won't be small for long with this awesome of a restraunt. I will come back over and over again! Love it! If you're looking for BBQ around here, just go here! No need to try anywhere else!

I definitely have experienced better BBQ dining joints! This establishment was loud and filled with kids running around everywhere. I have kids, but mine were sitting at the table eating, because that is what we were there to do. We had a voucher to go here and that was the main reason why we chose to eat here; and the staff did not even know how to process their OWN voucher. The taste of the food was mediocre at best. Plus there is not a waitress that attends you at your table, and it reminds me of a fast food joint that sells sub-par BBQ! I would pass on this one, especially if you have ever ate at any K.C. BBQ joints!

The DUBS ribs were really huge and meaty with a good amount of buttery fat. The wings were pretty standard, breaded, fried and only mildly spicy (although they were called "fire" wings). The restaurant, itself was a pretty nice place to hang on a Friday, with a live acoustic guitarist who has a pretty good sound. And, if music isn't your thing, there is always the entertaining banter between the parents (the cooks) and servers (their teenage daughters). I'll definitely go back, but might skip the wings and try the maple spiced tater tots (wish I saw those when I first ordered my food).

  • Aly B.

Loved the food but didn't love the service. We ordered take out and our order took a long time. They only gave us one fork and forgot the bread. If we had ate in we wouldn't have had many of those problems.

Really a good barbeque joint. The meat was very well seasoned and had a really good smoke flavor. I had baby back ribs and my wife got the pulled pork sandwich. Much better than your chain restaurants. I'll defiantly go back again.

Really good bbq. Had the ribs with reg sauce, rice and potato salad. Kids had wings. I should have had some wings also. Everything was great!

I love this place! This is my go to restaurant when I stop in St. Grorge. You wouldn't think you could find good BBQ in St. George, but they definitely know what they are doing. The ribs, brisket and greens are my favorite. And sauces are some of the best I've ever had.

    (5)
  • Phil M.

Dry chunked flavorless brisket on a plain, tasteless half hoagie roll definitely require a liberal application of their homemade BBQ sauce, which was actually quite decent. Slaw is good too if you prefer a sweet vinegar based (non-mayo) version.

Delicious pulled pork sandwich with amazing bbq sauce. Really one of the best pork sandwiches I have had. The older female cashier has not always been the friendliest but it is forgivable for such amazing food.

Back to DUBS again last night food was perfect as usual. I read some comments about the ribs being dry?? I didnt think so at all, and this restaurant knows they don't need to smother (hide) their ribs in bbq sauce like they do at chain restaurants. I LOVE the original sauce and my husband loves the spicy bbq, especially the fact we can add the amount of bbq we want. The pulled pork was what I had and my husband had the ribs. No complaints from us except these guys don't live in our kitchen!

  • Mackay R.

Great BBQ in the George. Ribs are tender, pulled pork has great flavor, service has been solid for us. Food doesn't come quick, but that's ok if you're looking for some solid cue. Great sides too. Not sure I can recommend another place locally above Dubs if you're looking for some solid BBQ.

    (4)
  • Ed B.

I'm going to agree with the poster below that the Ribs were a bit dry, but not too bad and the BBQ sauce was delicious enough to make up for it. The potato salad was made just the way I like it. I'd probably go with a 3 1/2 star rating if I could, but because I can't I'll go with a 4 because I like the BBQ sauce so much.

GO ELSEWHERE!! We had been to this place a couple years ago when it was called Q4U. We had a good dinner then so I thought we would try again as we passed through St. George. The lady at the ordering counter couldn't have been more put out to help us. She didn't want to answer questions about the menu and then was pissed when one of my kids changed their order. She was sooo put out about having to cancel something in the register. The food came out and was not good. The meat was all pretty dry and the only side that was okay was the potato salad. We got an order of sweet potato tots and I asked the grumpy lady up front what she had that we could dip them in. Her reply...NOTHING!

Real BBQ! For those of you from a BBQ native state in Midwest or South this is the real deal out west. Short ribs & pulled pork are the way to go. Skip the chain restaurant you are thinking about & go make your tummy happy at DUB's. Family owned, nicest people you can hope to meet.

    (5)
  • Becky S.

Nice people. Definitely would recommend this place rather than a chain restaurant. Great sweet potato tater tots. Got the spare ribs and thought they were dry. Perhaps the baby back ribs would have been better. The sauce helped but was not that memorable. Should have made better use of the other hot sauces they had on the counter. Cole slaw and yams were nice. Greens were a bit salty. Overall, a decent meal.

  • Tamra R.

This place was terrible!! Don't waste your money! The lady taking our order ( who was the owner) was extremely rude and not welcoming at all. It was like it was a choir for her to have to take our order. She would get upset and roll her eyes at us when we asked a question about the menu. When we got our food the sides were not what we ordered. The food was gross and way over priced. Everything was just gristle and fat. We ordered the ribs and the sampler and everything was straight up just fat. There was live music which was being played so loud we couldn't even hold a decent conversation. Needless to say we will never eat there again. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

We moved here from California and are thrilled that such excellent barbecue is available here! Their baby back ribs, spare ribs, and brisket are all the Best! Perfect smoking, tender meat, generous portions, absolutely delicious! All of their meats are delicious without sauce or with sauce! Their scratch-made, original sauce is delicious! Their baked beans are fantasic as well. We usually get a slab of ribs and beef brisket by the pound. It is family owned and operated. Cameron and Ron are so great to customers! We will be regulars!

I grew up in the South and after a couple of weeks of hiking I was craving some BBQ so I jumped on yelp and decided to check it out on my way out of town. The lady wasn't the friendliest when I asked what she recommended saying it was just BBQ which any BBQ fan knows that BBQ isn't just BBQ. I grabbed the combo, they were already out of baby backs which was surprising since it was around 7, the ribs tips were damn good. Nice rub and cooked well. The spare ribs were about the same and that's good considering above average BBQ is hard to find when you're not in certain regions of the county. Beef Brisket was solid but a Texan would be probably be disappointed.

We stayed in St. George while on vacation and found D.U.B.'s via online reviews. This place is terrific. I grew up around Kansas City and I know my BBQ. This is the real deal! It's a little hard to spot from the road but it is well worth looking for, the sign on the front just says "BBQ". It looks like just a little strip mall place and there's no sign on the road. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be good... there was smoke in the air! We had the pulled-pork, brisket, babyback ribs, coleslaw, yams, potato salad, and cajun fries. Every thing was awesome, far above what I have come to expect from BBQ outside the middle of the country. Moist smokey pork, tender moist brisket with nice crust, ribs cooked perfectly. The sauce was smokey and sweet, we had ours on the side (dry) so we could try the bare meats. The place was spotless clean and the staff was very friendly. We'll never pass by St. George again without making this our first stop!
